I'm 2 YEARS old!!!

Isn't she the cutest!!! I had a blast watching her just be herself. Kids have the greatest imaginations. At one point she had her sand pale full with water and then collected leaves from the yard and started washing them in the pale as if she were doing dishes or laundry--so cute!

Sister's on vacation!

I met these wonderful ladies at the Ventura Art Walk. They were visiting from another state and wanted to have their portraits taken while they were here- great idea!

Not your average high school senior portraits...

Doesn't he look like he could be in a band! He was so shy and then once I got him alone in front of the camera and just said nothing---this is what I got. Tons of cool expressions! If you are interested in a one hour portrait session on location give me a call at 805.469.3505...it's SOOoooo much fun!

Below is the family. Ok, all I have to say is-- they look awesome and I would be so happy if I looked like them when Joey was graduating from high school...anyone else agree?

New baby in Montecito...

This was a party to introduce their grandaughter. Isn't that the neatest idea. They had the best flowers and desserts. It was gorgeous!

Ventura Art Walk

This was taken last night at the Ventura Art Walk. I showed my work at Cara Mia's boutique on Main Street in Ventura. It was fun, we had this photo station set up to get some fun pics of the people that came by. It's all about great food, music, shops and of course ART! If you have never been--you should check it out. A ton of the downtown shops open their walls and windows to artists and thousands of people walk the streets checking out what they may want to hang in their homes. I highly recommend checking it out. I think they do it like 3 times a year.

Santa Barbara City College

I spoke at the Santa Barbara City College (Linda Lowell's fabulous class) with fellow friend and photographer Kristen Beinke. We had fun sharing what we've experienced in starting our photography businesses. Linda was actually one of my teachers at Brooks Institute of Photography my first year. I gotta tell ya--that lady was TOUGH! I remember going to her after class because I had an image I thought was good and it got a C and I just could not figure it out...she said "it's good--that's why I gave you a C" and then she said "you took this picture like everyone else would have--what makes it special and unique". It's so true-it takes seeing something different to make an image great! I loved that and I still hear her in my ears as I shoot. Thank you Linda for that great lesson!

PPSBC donates prints!

In 2007 I have the privilege of serving as President of the Professional Photographers of Santa Barbara County. At our Christmas party, board member Andri Irving pulled together an awesome opportunity to donate photos to the People's Self Help Housing group. By doing so they will have images for all of their tenants to enjoy in the community centers and other public buildings. It was a great opportunity for the photographers to give back to Santa Barbara. The above clipping came from the Santa Barbara Newspress this past week.

Camille- Modern Day Design

This is one of Santa Barbara's great florists- Camille from Modern Day Design. I had the great pleasure of photographing her for her new website. The site is still under construction at this time. I have heard so much about it and it sounds like it is going to be fantastic! Below are some flowers from a wedding Camille worked on...
