Becky's Shower

Becky is a friend from church. Her and her husband are expecting their first son in less than a month. I had a great time with the girls. Showers are GREAT. In case you haven't been to one--you basically show-up with gift in hand, eat yummy food, play silly games, chat about baby stories, and watch them open presents. The whole thing takes only about 2 hours. They are short but packed with fun!! And it's just wonderful to be a part of the preparations for a new life. And this little boy is very lucky to have such loving parents.

Joey-10 months

This is my son! I haven't posted him in a while so I thought I'd share a few. My favorite part of everyday is going in to pick him up from his crib in the morning or after a nap. Joey usually wakes up and begins to play with his stuffed toys in his bed until I come to get him. It's wonderful because he might be awake at 7am and I'm not really ready till 7:45ish...so he just hangs out and plays. When I go in there he is always soooo excited to see me. I LOVE that!

Maria + Kyle Engaged!

Click on this series to view larger...

Maria and Kyle met over the game of soccer! We started out our shoot at the beach and realized we may very well be blown off the beach--the winds were wild! So we went down town Ventura a few shots in town. Then we finished up on the soccer fields where it all began! It was there that they really loosened up and had fun!

I am looking forward to the wedding later this summer.

Shawn and Charmel are married!

Charmel and Shawn planned to get married on the sandy beaches across from the Four Season's Biltmore today in sunny Santa Barbara. Well, as I drove to meet them at their hotel I was on the phone with them thinking up a back up plan....it was down pouring. I am talking LOTS and LOTS of rain. As I exited the freeway with Shawn on the phone I said "wait it's not raining-it stopped". They met me down at the beach and we were able to capture these wonderful images. It was divine intervention at it's finest! They had a beautiful ceremony and I feel blessed to have been a part of it all.

PPSBC donates prints!

In 2007 I have the privilege of serving as President of the Professional Photographers of Santa Barbara County. At our Christmas party, board member Andri Irving pulled together an awesome opportunity to donate photos to the People's Self Help Housing group. By doing so they will have images for all of their tenants to enjoy in the community centers and other public buildings. It was a great opportunity for the photographers to give back to Santa Barbara. The above clipping came from the Santa Barbara Newspress this past week.
